Kaitlin Bourne

Kaitlin attended her first Bikram yoga class in 2003 and instantly fell in love with the practice. Quickly, Bikram yoga filled the ‘practice’ void that her competitive swimming career left behind.

In 2007, she attended the 9-week Bikram Yoga Teacher training in Hawaii and the instructor within her came alive. After training, she became a traveling teacher, taking advantage of the opportunity to live, work and ski in beautiful places throughout Colorado, Tahoe, Utah, and California. Extremely grateful for the mentors that guided her along the way, Kaitlin revels in sharing her passion for Bikram yoga.

While living in San Diego, she expanded her yoga journey upon discovering Ashtanga yoga. Ashtanga deepened her practice and understanding of yoga asana and philosophy. She completed Tim Miller’s Primary Series Teacher Training and Nosara Yoga Institute's Interdisciplinary Teacher Training to enrich her experience as a practitioner and an instructor.

In addition to instructing yoga, Kaitlin is also a coach. She coached swimming at Colorado State and the University of San Diego, and continues to coach as time permits. Coaching is her true nature, which is evident in her class. She brings focused energy into the hot room that is encouraging and uplifting. Her goal is to inspire students to discover more from their practice - on the mat and in life. With that comes gentle ‘nudges’ intended to increase motivation and build confidence.
